As lovers of surprises and exciting news, you can imagine our pure joy when Ryan reached out asking us to photograph his proposal to Taylor. Capturing this special moment is quite the honor and the experience is nothing short of exhilarating. We got right to planning!
We chatted for a couple months on dates and the perfect time of day for this proposal. Ryan knew he wanted to surprise Taylor by flying her parents to Florida along with his grandmother all the way from Ireland! We cleared our calendar for this day just in case flights were delayed or traffic was crazy. We wanted to make sure this plan came to fruition flawlessly and let me tell ya, it did! Without a hitch!
The proposal took place at Bella Collina in Montverde, Florida. The rolling hills and beautiful vista transports you to the heart of Tuscany and it’s truly nothing short of romantic. Being that we’ve photographed weddings and sessions at this venue a handful of times, we are very familiar with the grounds and knew that their reflection pond was a great place to pop the question.
As Ryan sent the “we’re arriving in 5min.” text, we made ourselves highly inconspicuous and hid in the corner where they’d never notice us as they enter.
They were adorable walking in hand-in-hand. There was a thrilling mix of nerves and exhilaration in the moments leading up to Ryan dropping down to one knee. The world seemed to hold its’ breath in this fleeting moment, as if the universe itself was rooting for this love story to unfold beautifully. A proposal is more than just a question; it’s a deeply emotional expression of commitment and devotion. As he revealed the ring, there was a palpable shift in the air. Taylor’s eyes widened with surprise, and time seemed to stretch as she processed the enormity of what was happening. It felt like a moment where everything else faded away, leaving just the two of them, our cameras snapping away, and the profound significance of the question being asked.
“I knew IT was happening as soon as we walked in”,
Taylor said with tears in her eyes after she said “YES!!!!”. What she did not realize was that her family was here and witnessed the entire proposal! Laughter, tears, and heartfelt embraces followed, while we captured the raw and authentic emotions of the couple embracing their families. Every glance, every touch, every word exchanged was a true testament to the love that has led to this pivotal moment.
